Where should beginners start?(Web Version)
OKX (www.okx.com) is one of the world’s leading crypto trading platforms. What do I need to do before trading?
1. Download & sign up
Download: go to OKX website > tap Download > More options > Download desktop > Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
Sign up: go to OKX website > Sign up/Log in
Note: to sign up, you must bind both an email address and a mobile phone number. Kindly enter the required information in the following order: Email → Email verification code → Mobile number → SMS verification code → Set password. Once completed, your registration will be successful.
2. Personal Information Settings
Before you can buy or sell crypto, you need to complete identity verification, video verification and link your payment methods.
Identity verification: on the app, go to Menu > Profile and settings > Identity verification > Verify Now > Upload your ID photos > Complete facial recognition > Follow the on-screen instructions to upload your documents and complete the real-person verification
Video verification: on the app, go to P2P trading > Profile > Video Verification > Start Recording
During video verification, kindly turn on the sound, open the camera, and do not connect headphones. The system will read out a risk warning and you are not required to repeat it. After confirming the information is correct, kindly answer yes after the beep sound, then submit your information and wait for review.
Note: identity verification and video verification can only be performed on the app.
Bind payment methods: go to OKX website > Buy crypto > P2P trading > My profile > Add payment method > Follow the instructions to complete the binding
Note: If you need to change your linked phone number or email, kindly visit OKX website and go to Security. Kindly manage your linked phone number or email from there.
Buying and selling crypto
P2P Express Buy
Go to OKX website > Buy crypto > P2P trading > Express > Buy > Enter the amount to purchase > Select payment method > Select ad > Place order
Confirm Purchase details preview > Get Payment Details > Transfer funds using the payment method required by the Maker > Pay the amount shown on the page > Tap I Have Paid(after successful payment) > Wait for the maker to receive the payment and release the crypto
P2P Express Buy
Go to OKX website > Buy crypto > P2P trading > Express > Sell > Enter the amount to sell > Select receiving method > Select ad > Place order
Confirm the Sale details preview > Sell > Tap Confirm Receipt (after receiving the payment from the maker)
Notes:
Always confirm receipt of payment directly in your bank app or WeChat/Alipay transaction history. Do not rely on SMS messages or other notifications.
Verify that the payment is made under the maker’s real name. If the payment is not made using a real name, please contact online customer service or submit a dispute.
If you have not received the payment but have already released the crypto, file a dispute immediately or contact online customer service for assistance.
Only use the payment method displayed on the order details page or the payment information sent by the seller in the IM chat. Do not transfer funds to any other account.

How to conduct spot trade
After successfully purchasing a crypto(such as USDT), that crypto will be credited to your funding account. If you want to trade it, you need to perform a fund transfer to move it to your trading account.
Fund Transfer: go to OKX website > Assets > Transfer > Select the crypto you want to transfer > Select From: Funding; To Trading > Enter the amount > Transfer
Spot Trading: go to OKX website > Trade > Spot > Choose the trading pair you prefer > Choose your preferred order type > Enter the price and amount you wish to buy/sell > Buy xxx/Sell xxx
Note: Limit orders require you to manually enter the price at which you want to buy or sell. The order will be filled automatically when the market price meets your expectation, so this type of order cannot guarantee a quick fill. If you want to buy quickly at the current market price, you can choose a market order.
How to deposit from other platforms to this platform
Deposit Conditions:
To make a deposit, identity verification is required. If you have not completed identity verification, you will not be able to deposit and view the deposit address.
How to deposit?
Go to OKX website > Assets > Deposit > Select crypto and network > Copy the deposit address > Paste it on the other platforms to initiate the withdrawal.
Once the required number of confirmations is reached, the deposit will be credited. The estimated arrival time will be displayed on the page; kindly refer to the page prompts for more details.
Notes:
You can choose to deposit funds into your funding account/trading account on the deposit interface.
Some crypto are currently not supported for deposits via Binance Smart Chain (BSC). In addition, deposits via Huobi ECO Chain (HECO) are also not supported.
You can view the minimum deposit amount on the deposit address page. If your deposit is below the minimum amount, it will not be credited.
The arrival time depends on the confirmation speed of network miners and the number of confirmations required by the receiving platform.
If a memo or tag is required for certain crypto when depositing, kindly fill it in otherwise your deposit will not be credited successfully.
After a successful deposit, you can view your crypto on the asset overview page or the deposit records page on OKX.
