OKX to adjust components and weights of the Commodity Perp Index

To improve commodity perp index stability, OKX will adjust the components and their weights of several indexes at 16:00 m - 17:00 am(UTC+8) on Apr 27, 2026. The adjusted index prices will be calculated by weighting the prices of the new components according to their updated weights.
Key adjustments:

1. XAUUSDT Index Component Adjustment: PAXG will be removed from the index components, and its price will no longer be included. During traditional gold market trading hours, the index will primarily track the XAU spot price to better reflect the price performance of the underlying gold asset.

2. Reduce the weight of perpetual (Perp) contract trading prices in the index, so that the index is more responsive to spot market prices and less influenced by volatility on the perpetual contract side.

Notes on Component Data Sources:

• Hyperliquid_Oracle: The index price used by Hyperliquid perpetual contracts.

• OKX_TradFi: A reference price provided by OKX based on traditional financial market data sources.

• Binance_LINEAR_INDEX: The index price used by Binance USDT-margined (Linear) perpetual contracts

• During non-traditional market trading hours, when the traditional market reference price is not updated, if only 2 active components remain in the index, each active component will carry a weight of 50%

Index Price Computation
