xAssets are a suite of wrapped tokens issued by us on supported blockchain networks. Each xAsset (for example, xBTC, xETH, xSOL) is backed 1:1 by its corresponding underlying asset (for example, BTC, ETH, SOL) securely held in OKX custody. These wrapped tokens allow you to use your assets within on-chain ecosystems, such as decentralized finance (DeFi).

When you withdraw eligible assets from your OKX Exchange account to a supported network, we mint and deliver the corresponding xAsset to your address on that chain. You can then use the xAsset in DeFi apps in a more flexible, blockchain-native way.

When you deposit an xAsset back to your OKX Exchange account from a supported chain, we burn the deposited xAsset and credit your account with the equivalent amount of the underlying eligible asset.
