monad and megaeth have the same cold start problem as all chains do - chains launch fairly hyped but mostly don’t do much for a few weeks - after 2-4 months enough has come together that some better apps/coins start to take off - “I called it” chuds announce their victory laps - eco is still not established enough to run forever on its own - cools down, then spends the next year trying to find actual market fit - either dies at that point or does a serious takeoff Base and Arbitrum are good examples of fairly successful launches > 1yr after starting Bera/Blast examples of ones that have failed Abstract an example of a “maybe” —— Would probably advise ignoring anyone saying monad is dead after 2 weeks and likewise for mega. Real evaluation starts 4-6 months out. Final decisions can be made 12-18 months out. personally looking forward to mega especially
